Police Update 2: Missing Man At Mitchell

The search and rescue for missing 61-year-old man Ian Brumpton has been temporarily suspended as of 5pm yesterday (July 23), in consultation with his family.

Ian was last seen in Mitchell on July 17, with a search and rescue operation commenced at 8am on July 19.

Extensive search efforts in the Mitchell and Amby area involving police, SES, aerial assets, motorbike riders and local volunteers have failed to locate the man or any items of interest.

Investigations are continuing and the Queensland Remote Area Tracking group will deployed to assist.
