Police have arrested a 26-year-old man after he allegedly fled police custody in Rockhampton on July 27.
At around 6.20am this morning a Toyota Hilux, which had been reported stolen from Foreshores on August 2 was seen by police driving along Salamanca Street in Frenchville.
Officers followed the car which evaded police and was allegedly seen being driven dangerously.
Police sighted the same car driving along the Bruce Highway at Yarwun at around 9.40am when it again evaded police, travelling along the Dawson Highway.
Officers continued to track the vehicle, which collided with a car driven by a member of the public on Kirkwood Road at around 11am.
As a result of the collision the vehicle became inoperable, at which point the driver of the car was taken into custody.
Members of the public received medical attention at the scene for minor injuries.
The 26-year-old man received medical attention at the scene for lacerations to his arm and leg.
Police are expected to charge the man later today.
