Police Update 2: Shooting, North Lakes

Police have arrested a third person in relation to a shooting incident in North Lakes on March 24.

Emergency services were called to a carpark on Lakefield Drive around 9.40pm to reports a man had been shot in the arm, also impacting his chest.

Police investigations indicate the man was injured after an interaction with a group of four people, allegedly three men and a teenage girl.

A 42-year-old man was transported to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Investigations led police to locate and arrest a 43-year-old Victoria Point man in a unit on Margaret Street, Brisbane City around 1.50pm on April 7.

He has been charged with one count of attempt to murder.

The man has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 28.

A 17-year-old Windsor girl and a 40-year-old man have also previously been arrested and charged in relation to the incident.

A fourth person, who police believe was also allegedly involved in the incident, remains outstanding, however investigations indicate there is no threat to public safety.

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify the man who may be able to assist them with their investigations.

The man, pictured in a black t-shirt, is described as being 165cm tall, solid build with brown eyes, and brown shaved/short hair. Both arms, his neck and right leg are heavily covered in tattoos, including a large cross across the front of his neck.

Police are appealing to the man, anyone who recognises him or has seen him since March 24, to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
