Police have released the name and a picture of a 51-year-old Kingaroy man who was located deceased in Gordonbrook Dam, South Burnett, on Saturday (March 19, 2022).
Police have identified the deceased as Darryl Smith.
Investigators are yet to confirm the identification of the female person located with Mr Smith.
Police are appealing for information as to the movements or last sightings of Mr Smith or his vehicle, a white Holden commodore Station Wagon, bearing registration plates 306BS3, which was located at the dam on Saturday.
It's believed that the vehicle was parked at the dam since at least Sunday March 13, 2022.
Investigators have also released a recent picture of Mr Smith at the township of Wondai on 10 March.
While post-mortem inquiries are still ongoing, investigators are still exploring all options regarding the matter but are not looking at the involvement of a third party in these deaths.
