Police Update 2: Suspicious House Fire, Gulliver

An 83-year-old man who was critically injured in a suspicious house fire at Gulliver on December 26 last year, has died in Townsville Hospital.

The man passed away from his injuries yesterday, January 6 as a police investigations continue into the fire.

A 53-year-old woman remains in a critical condition in the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

It follows emergency services being called to a house fire at Mooney Street at 3am on December 26, 2024.

Police continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage of the area around the time of the fire to come forward.
