Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 31-year-old Birkdale man following the death of a 52-year-old man earlier this week.
Police will allege the 52-year-old man was assaulted near Rudyard Street, Inala around 6.30pm on January 5.
Several hours later, police were called to Logan Hospital around 12.30am on Monday, January 6, after the man presented with significant head injuries.
The man was transported to a specialist care facility, however passed away from his injuries on January 7.
The 31-year-old man was arrested at a residence in Griffin this morning around 11am.
It will be further alleged the two men were known to each other.
The man has been charged with one count each of murder, grievous bodily harm, armed robbery and two counts each of torture and kidnapping.
He is due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, January 11.
Investigations are continuing.
