Toowoomba detectives and the Homicide Investigation Unit have released new CCTV footage in an appeal for information following their investigations into a serious assault at Harlaxton in March.
A 25-year-old man was located at a Coonan Street address around 2.50am on Tuesday, March 15, with a gunshot to the head.
He was initially taken to Toowoomba Hospital and then transferred to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he died yesterday morning because of injuries sustained in the shooting and medical complications.
Investigators have today released new CCTV footage of the moments before the shooting, which shows the deceased man's vehicle being followed by a white dual cab utility, believed to be the offending vehicle.
Investigators are also appealing to members of the public who may have picked up and transported a man that was on Pittsworth Felton Road between 5:30am to 7:30am on the morning of the incident to come forward.
The man is believed to be fair-skinned, slight to medium build, with short brown hair and possibly in his 20s, and was wearing a black jacket, boardshorts and no shoes.
Investigations continue.
