Police have charged three teenagers following an alleged armed robbery and theft of a vehicle in Edmonton on November 5.
It will be alleged, at 8.30pm, a 40-year-old Edmonton woman was walking towards her vehicle in a carpark on Louie Piccone Way when she was approached by a group of unknown people.
The group allegedly threatened the woman with scissors and assaulted her, demanding her keys.
The woman sustained non-life-threatening lacerations to her arm.
The group allegedly fled the scene in a stolen Mazda 6, which was later located in Yarrabah.
Three girls aged 17, 15 and 13 from Yarrabah have been charged with armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
All three are expected to appear before Cairns Childrens Court on November 6.
