Detectives have charged a 24-year-old Boyland man following an alleged armed robbery at Cannon Hill on July 22.
Police will allege a man entered a woman's blue Toyota Yaris which was parked on Wynnum Road in Cannon Hill at approximately 10.50am.
It will be further alleged the man told the occupant that he was in possession of a weapon, before threatening her and demanding she drive him to the Cannon Hill Shopping Centre to give him cash.
She complied and was physically unharmed.
The man then allegedly stole some alcohol from a bottle shop before fleeing the scene on foot.
He has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, robbery and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle.
The Boyland man appeared before Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday August 3 and is due to appear next on September 21.
