Police Update: Arrest Over Firle Assault

A man has been charged following an indecent assault in Firle last week.

About 3.40pm Friday 24 May police were called to a fast-food restaurant on Glynburn Road after reports a man had allegedly assaulted a child. The man fled the scene after he was confronted by the child's parent. The child was not physically injured.

Following an investigation, about 11.15pm Saturday 25 May, officers from the Eastern District Child and Family Investigation Section attended a Mile End home and arrested a 29-year-old man.

He has been charged with aggravated indecent assault and aggravated gross indecency. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday (27 May).
