Police have charged two people following investigations into two alleged assaults in Park Avenue on Sunday, February 2.
It will be alleged around 4.30am, two people approached a man sleeping in a tent in Kershaw Gardens and demanded property from him before physically assaulting the man.
It will be further alleged they then approached a second man nearby and demanded property and physically assaulted him.
Both men sustained serious injuries and were transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital.
Following investigations by the Rockhampton Criminal Investigation Branch, detectives arrested two teenage boys in the Rockhampton area on February 5.
A 16-year-old Park Avenue boy has been charged with attempted armed robbery and armed robbery.
He is due to appear before Rockhampton Childrens Court on February 11.
A 15-year-old The Caves boy has been charged with armed robbery, attempted robbery, and attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
He is due to appear before Rockhampton Childrens Court today, February 6.
