Police are continuing the search the Burnie area for 26 year old Brayden William Stanley from Irishtown.
Stanley escaped from police custody yesterday after being arrested for failing to appear in court.
He exited through the front door of the Burnie Police Station onto Wilson Street and then stole a vehicle. That vehicle has been located in Upper Burnie and he is believed to be on foot in that area.
He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt, black pants, has tattoos on his face, with short brown hair and slim build.
He is not considered to be dangerous and there is no threat to the community. Police ask that anyone who sees him or knows where he is call Tasmania Police on 131444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestopperstas.com.au
