Police remain at the scene of a crash at Plympton Park.
About 10.43 am, Sunday 28 July emergency services were called to Macklin Street, after reports a child riding a bike was struck by a taxi.
The child, a 4-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries which are not considered life threatening.
The driver, a 51-year-old man was not injured and his vehicle was towed from the scene for examination.
South Terrace remains closed between Park Terrace and Ferry Avenue whilst Major Crash Investigators attend the scene to assist with the investigation.
