Police Update: Fatal Traffic Crash, Proserpine Area

A man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic crash at Mount Marlow on August 11.

Investigations indicate just after 1pm, a Nissan Navara was traveling east along Shute Harbour Road when it collided with a Toyota Landcruiser travelling in the opposite direction.

A 28-year-old Mermaid Beach man, who was a passenger in the Toyota Landcruiser, was transported to Townsville University where he died yesterday afternoon, August 16.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
