Police Update: Hardware Thefts, Lockyer Valley

Police have charged a man following a series of thefts from a hardware store in the Lockyer Valley during December.

It will be alleged the man was involved in multiple thefts from the store between December 11 and 24.

Following a public appeal for information, Laidley police executed a search warrant at a Kensington Grove address on February 2, where a 31-year-old man was taken into custody.

He has been charged with 15 offences including five counts of stealing, three counts of possess drug utensil, and one count each of possess property suspected of being stolen, produce dangerous drug, possess dangerous drug, fail to dispose of needle/syringe, fraud, drive unregistered vehicle and an offence to remove number plate confiscation notice.

He was refused police bail and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court today, February 3.
