A man has been charged following investigations into a hit and run at Sumner in October.
About 10.30pm on October 16, police were called to a large group of motorists involved in hooning-related activity on Spine Street.
Upon police arrival at the scene, the vehicles left the area and a utility vehicle struck a bystander as they were crossing the road.
The pedestrian, a 17-year-old Warner girl, sustained serious injuries as a result.
Acting on information from the public, police located the allegedly concealed vehicle at a North Ipswich residence on October 23.
Further investigations revealed the alleged driver was a 27-year-old Lowood man who was charged last week.
He was charged with driving without due care and attention causing grievous bodily harm and failing to remain at an incident and render assistance.
The man is due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on December 13.
