Police from the Forensic Crash Unit have charged a 32-year-old Wynnum man following investigations into an alleged hit-and-run crash on Bay Terrace, on August 20.
The man will appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow (August 23) facing charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle while showing callous disregard, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driver fail to remain at an incident and render assistance.
Earlier: at approximately 11pm on August 20, two pedestrians were walking towards Charlotte Street when a black 2018 Nissan X-Trail travelling on Bay Terrace struck them.
It's believed the driver exited the vehicle for a short time before getting back into the car, reversing up Bay Terrace and turning right onto Berrima Street.
The vehicle was later abandoned on Wynnum Esplanade North.
