Logan detectives have today successfully applied for the extradition of two men who were arrested in New South Wales by virtue of a Queensland arrest warrant, following the alleged murder of a man at Gleneagle last week.
It will be alleged that just before 6am on Monday October 14, four people forced entry to a home at Brittany Court.
It will be further alleged that during this home invasion; a 48-year-old male occupant sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and a 40-year-old male occupant was hit on the head with a hammer.
The 48-year-old man was treated at the scene by Paramedics in a critical condition, before passing away just after 7am. The 40-year-old man sustained minor head injuries and was treated at the scene by Paramedics in a stable condition.
Following investigations, a 29-year-old Yarrabilba man was arrested by New South Wales police in Forbes on Friday. He appeared at the Dubbo Local Court today, where Logan detectives successfully applied for his extradition to Queensland.
A 28-year-old Jimboomba was arrested by New South Wales police in Port Macquarie yesterday. He appeared at the Port Macquarie Local Court today, where Logan detectives successfully applied for his extradition to Queensland.
The pair are expected to be extradited to Logan in the coming days.
