A man reported missing in Mackay today has been located safe and well.
A member of the public contacted police shortly after 8am after property and clothing belonging to the 45-year-old man was located on Illawong Beach at South Mackay.
A Police Forward Command Post was established at Illawong Beach with water police, SES, Volunteer Marine Rescue and the CQ Rescue helicopter assisting in the land and air search.
The man was located by the CQ Rescue helicopter just after 3pm.
