Police Update: Missing Elderly Man At Childers

Police continue to appeal for new information in relation to an 82-year-old man missing from Childers since Sunday, May 19.

Investigators have released a new CCTV image of Peter Hodgins, who was last seen leaving an address along Morgan Street around 6.45pm, heading south towards Broadhurst Street.

Police investigators believe he may be within the Townsville area, or attempting to travel there.

Mr Hodgins was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, jeans, brown shoes and a dark coloured coat (pictured).

Search efforts are continuing in Childers, with assets from SES, QRAT aerial drone support, QFES and QPS trail bikes joining the search.

Residents in both Childers, Townsville and neighbouring areas are urged to check their properties, sheds and structures for signs of Mr Hodgins.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
