Police update: Missing man, Mount Gravatt East

Police are continuing their appeal to find missing 70-year-old Mount Gravatt man, Omar Fattal.

Investigations reveal he was last seen at the Woolloongabba bus interchange around midday last Wednesday, May 26.

Previously the same day, Omar was last seen leaving an address on Thelma Street on-foot around 8.30am.

Investigations also suggest he may be travelling by public transport around the Brisbane area.

Senior Sergeant Kylie Doyle, Officer-in-Charge of Holland Park Police Station, said police hold serious concerns for the man's welfare.

"Officers have conducted extensive investigations to try and locate Omar and our concern grows with each day that passes," she said.

"Our concern is also growing with the onset of colder weather.

"He is a much-loved family member and we hold hope this ends in a happy resolution for Omar and his family."

Omar, pictured below, is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall with grey hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black and white chequered shirt and blue dress pants. Anyone with any information regarding Omar's current whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
