Sunshine Coast detectives have charged a man with murder following investigations into the death of a 46-year-old Burpengary woman at Pelican Waters yesterday (February 14).
Police will allege that around 3.35pm staff from the Mahogany Drive resort attended the room that the man and woman were staying in to conduct a welfare check.
The body of the woman was located in the room, as was the man. Police were notified and attended soon after arresting the man at the scene.
A 50-year-old Bli Bli man was charged this morning with murder (domestic violence offence).
He has been refused bail and will face Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic and family violence, you should report it to police.
