A man has been charged following a police-involved shooting in Kingaroy earlier this month.
Police were called to Kingaroy Hospital around 7.20pm on August 9 following reports of a man armed with a knife.
The man allegedly threatened officers with the knife and was subsequently shot by police.
Medical assistance was immediately provided to the man before he was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast Hospital.
The man remains in hospital undergoing further treatment.
No police officers were physically injured during the incident.
The 59-year-old Kingaroy man has been issued a notice to appear on one count of going armed to cause fear and three counts of serious assault police officer. He is due before Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 18.
The Ethical Standards Command is investigating, with the investigation subject to oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
