Police have released vision as a two-day search operation continues to locate a man missing from the Blue Mountains area since last month.
Kenneth Bellette, aged 53, was last seen at the Bilpin Fruit Bowl café at Bells Line of Road, Bilpin, just before 9am on Saturday 22 January 2022.
Officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command were notified of his disappearance and commenced an investigation to locate him.
As inquiries continue, a multi-agency land search commenced in bushland near the café at 8am yesterday (Tuesday 8 February 2022), involving officers from the Hawkesbury Police Area Command, Mounted Unit, Dog Unit, Police Rescue, North West Metropolitan Operation Support Group and members of the State Emergency Service (SES).
The search was suspended about 4pm.
The same resources were utilised when the search re-commenced at 8am today (Wednesday 9 February 2022), with members of the Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS) and the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) also assisting in the search operation.
Family and police hold serious concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition requiring treatment.
Kenneth is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 172cm tall, of medium build, with black hair shaved in a line down the middle of his head. He has a tattoo on his neck, and another faded tattoo on his left arm.
He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured poncho-style jacket, black shorts, black boots and a black beanie.
