Police co-ordinating the search for missing man Tarci Carey have released a picture of the 22-year-old on the day he was last seen, in an appeal to the public for further information.
Mr Carey was last seen at approximately 4am on Friday August 5, leaving a Meditation Court address in Nambour in a silver Mitsubishi with QLD registration 438CK2 (pictured). He has not made contact with anyone since.
Initial investigations indicate he attended a service station at Forrest Glen at approximately 2.10am that morning, before driving to the Meditation Court address.
Police have released an image of Tarci at the Forrest Glen service station and are appealing to anyone who was in the area who may have seen him or his vehicle on the morning of August 5, or anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage, to urgently contact police.
Tarci's vehicle was subsequently located on a 4WD track in the Brooloo State Forest area on Monday (August 8), following a report from a member of the public.
An extensive search operation through thick bushland and difficult terrain was launched and continued over the last four days. However, the search has so far failed to locate any sign of Mr Carey.
Police on foot, motorbikes and mounted units along with SES volunteers are continuing the search today.
Police thank the volunteers and community for their assistance in the search.
Anyone with information regarding Tarci's whereabouts is urged to contact police.
