Police Update: Serious Traffic Crash, Deception Bay

A man has died today from injuries sustained in a traffic crash at Deception Bay on Monday, March 24.

Investigations indicate at 4.50am a crash has occurred involving a blue Hyundai I30 and a bicycle on Deception Bay Road.

The bike rider, a 39-year-old Brighton man, was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition and he passed away this afternoon from his injuries.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 51-year-old Morayfield man, was not physically injured.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant vision, to contact police.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.
