Police Update: Shooting Incident At Rockhampton 7 March

Police have charged two men following shooting incidents at Berserker in Rockhampton on February 21 and March 5.

On February 21, a 41-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the arm at a Peter Street address at approximately 7.30pm.

On March 5, a 40-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the leg inside the same property at approximately 12.30pm.

On March 6, police executed three search warrants at three Koongal addresses.

Following investigations, two 22-year-old men were taken into custody.

A 22-year-old Koongal man has been charged with one count each of attempted murder and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

A second 22-year-old Koongal man has been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both are due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court today, March 7.

It will be alleged the men are known to the 41-year-old man and 40-year-old man.

Police investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
