Police Update: Suspicious Fire At Bundaberg

Police have charged a man after investigations into a suspicious fire in Bundaberg on Monday, March 24.

Police were called to a complex on Water Street around 8.30am to reports of a number of townhouses being on fire.

A crime scene was declared and police arrested a man nearby.

A 51-year-old Bundaberg Central man has been charged with one count each of wilful damage and arson.

He was due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on March 28.
