Police update: Wilful damage, Emu Park Police station

Police have charged a man following an incident where damage was caused to two vehicles and a shed attached to the Emu Park Police Station on January 2 (Sunday).

Police will allege about 3.20pm, a vehicle collided with a parked car at a driveway outside the garage, pushing it through the door and into another car.

The driver exited the vehicle before allegedly pouring fuel over one of the cars and lighting a small fire in the grass nearby.

The fire was extinguished, and no one was injured during the incident.

Early yesterday, a 42-year-old Zilzie man was arrested in relation to a separate matter and later charged with two counts of wilful damage, one count each of wilful damage of police property and attempted arson of a motor vehicle.

He was denied police bail and is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on January 5 (Wednesday).
