Police Update: Wounding, Fortitude Valley 28 August

A man has been charged following an alleged wounding incident at an apartment complex yesterday. August 27.

Emergency services were called to the Warry Street address around 1:30pm Tuesday following reports of a woman being stabbed.

Upon arrival, a 59-year-old woman was located with non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital for treatment.

A 56-year-old man was arrested a short distance away and has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today, August 28.
