A senior constable from Transit and Public Safety Command has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 26-year-old male officer was charged with reckless conduct endangering life.
The charge relates to an incident that occurred in Point Cook in August last year while he was on duty.
He was charged by summons and will appear at a court at a later date.
