Flood-damaged pontoons at Fishery Creek, West Ballina and in Wardell will be replaced next week.
Council's contractor will replace the pontoons at the following times:
- Fishery Creek, Monday 4 September 2023, 8am to 3pm
- Wardell, Tuesday 5 September, 7am to 3pm.
The Fishery Creek pontoon and gangway will be closed for part of the works, while the Wardell pontoon and gangway will be closed for the full day on Tuesday 5 September 2023.
At each site, a truck and crane will remove the damaged pontoons and put the new ones in place. Access to the Fishery Creek and Wardell boat ramps will, at times, be impacted.
It is expected that recreational users will be able to access the boat ramps in between crane lifts.
These works are funded under Transport for NSW's Boating Infrastructure Emergency Repair Pool.
