Ahead of this year's program start of IMM's global master's program in toxicology, the number of applicants has increased significantly.
The Master's Programme in Toxicology started in 1976 and has been a global programme since 2010, with students from 63 countries so far. The programme is popular and the number of applicants has increased yearly, but in 2025, it was a drastic increase. The number of eligible applicants increased by 68 % compared to 2024, to 269 eligible applicants for the 28 places. Approximately half of these come from countries outside Europe. 29 % of the eligible applicants had the ToxMaster as their 1st priority.
The programme directors of the Toxicology Programme are of course happy about the popularity of the education.
"We have received good marks in both exit polls and the 2024 program evaluation", says programme director Annika Hanberg. "The students appreciate the international environment and the close contact with teachers, alumni and professional life. The evaluation highlighted, among other things, the very high scientific, professional and pedagogical competence of the course directors, and that sustainable development is an integrated part of the education."
Students from 17 countries have now been admitted.
