Port Phillip Mayor Condemns Anti-Semitic Graffiti

City of Port Phillip
Port Phillip Council is appalled at the anti-Semitic graffiti that appeared on a Beaconsfield Parade property on Friday evening.

Upon being notified of the Middle Park incident by Victoria Police, we dispatched our emergency response team to assist with the significant graffiti removal.

Our closely-knit Jewish community is still reeling from the December arson attack at the Adass Israel synagogue in Ripponlea.

While, thankfully, this incident did not involve physical injuries, it is still a cowardly attack targeting Port Phillip's Jewish community.

We want the community to know we continue to stand with you and whole-heartedly condemn any anti-Semitic activity in our City.

Port Phillip celebrates and values its diverse community. An attack on any group is an attack on our City's long-standing value of inclusion for all.

We are thankful for Victoria Police's quick response and will further assist in any way we can.

Any questions about the investigation should be directed to Victoria Police.
