A COVID-19 case has been recorded in the Northern Territory in the past 24 hours.
A male child who arrived on a flight from Sydney on October 11 and travelled directly from the airport to the Centre for National Resilience (CNR) has tested positive for COVID-19 and has mild symptoms.
There were 22 other passengers on the flight who have been identified as close contacts.
Seven of these people went directly into quarantine at the CNR upon arrival and will complete 14 days of quarantine. The remaining 15 are members of the Australian Defence Force and travelled directly from the airport to the Bladin Village Quarantine Facility.
There are currently seven active cases in the NT in care at the CNR.
