Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet COVID-19 Update: Wastewater testing update

One new COVID-19 case has been recorded in the Northern Territory in the past 24-hours.

A 15-year-old female who arrived on the repatriation flight from Denpasar, Indonesia, on 19 September 2021 has tested positive for COVID-19.

She is asymptomatic and is under the care of NT Health at the NT Centre for National Resilience.

Since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on 23 October 2020:

· 17,187 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience.

· A total of 198 positive COVID-19 cases have been overseas-acquired, 147 of which have been reported from international repatriation.

· There are currently 7 active cases in the Northern Territory, which are in care at the Centre for National Resilience, posing no threat to the community.
