A Victorian man is reveling in disbelief after waking to the news that he’s won almost $5 million in the Set for Life lottery.
The merry Melburnian from the suburb of Dingley Village held the only division one winning entry nationwide in Set for Life draw 3329, drawn Monday, 16 September 2024 and can look forward to a total division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in joyful instalments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.
The winning man was moved to tears when an official from The Lott surprised him with the winning phone call.
“Far out! That is fan-bloody-tastic! That’s magic!” he cheered.
“Thank you! Thank you! I’m just pinching myself. I’m totally gobsmacked.
“This will make such a difference to our lives. I’ve got my partner here and she’s smiling from ear to ear.
“We can do things we always dreamed of.
“Goodness gracious. I can’t stop the tears in my eyes. This is marvellous.
“I can help my family. There are plenty of people that this will put a smile on. What a delight.
“I can buy a new car or even a property!
“This has seriously made the rest of my life. The possibilities are endless. Thank you so much.
“I’m truly speechless. I need a coffee now! Or maybe some champagne!”
The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 3329 on Monday 16 September 2024 were 21, 42, 37, 6, 19, 24 and 29, while the supplementary numbers were 25 and 12.
Across Australia, there were one division one winning entries in Set for Life draw 3329 – one in Victoria.
This marks the 136th Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the 11th Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
