Power Africa's Nelson, Abdel-Kader to Speak at FP Event

On Tuesday, September 10, USAID, in partnership with Foreign Policy and U.S. Department of State, will host "Catalysts for Change," a program to explore the role of public-private collaboration in advancing U.S. foreign policy. The event, held in Washington, DC, will feature conversations with Power Africa Coordinator Richard Nelson and Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) Mohamed Abdel-Kader on collaborations for future development and leveraging innovation to manage future challenges.

Today's global development and humanitarian challenges require forging innovative partnerships with the private sector, partner governments, and multilateral institutions. These collaborations amplify USAID's efforts to save lives, reduce poverty, strengthen democratic governance, and help communities progress beyond foreign assistance.

Power Africa Coordinator Nelson and CIO Kader will speak at the event along with Richard Verma, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, U.S. Department of State, and more.
