Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher. Administrator Power congratulated the Under-Secretary-General on his appointment and expressed USAID's gratitude for the steadfast humanitarian leadership of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and its continued advocacy to facilitate life-saving assistance for the world's most vulnerable communities. Administrator Power emphasized the pivotal and irreplaceable role the Under-Secretary-General and OCHA play in addressing the increasingly complex challenges impacting the delivery of humanitarian aid.
