A Probationary (P1) driver has had her car impounded after failing an evidentiary breath test in Richmond this morning.
Officers were patrolling Hodgkinson Street, Clifton Hill about 12.30am when the observed a Toyota Corolla swerving across the road and without illuminated headlights.
They intercepted the car and spoke to an 18-year-old woman from Northcote.
She underwent a preliminary breath test and then accompanied officers to Richmond for an evidentiary test where she returned an alleged reading of .304.
Her licence was immediately cancelled and her car impounded with towing costs of $966.50.
She is expected to be charged on summons for drink driving offences.
