Homicide Squad detectives are continuing to investigate the death of a man after he was shot outside his Greenvale home this morning.
It's believed the 64-year-old man was leaving his Buchanan Place property just after 4.30am to go to work.
As he came out of his garage, he was shot a number of times in the upper body by an unknown offender.
A family member found the victim shortly after however he had already passed away.
Two female family members who were also home at the time were not physically injured during the shooting.
At this time it is not known how many offenders were involved in the incident or how they left the area.
The exact circumstances surrounding the death are still being established, however police are treating it as a targeted attack.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has further information about those responsible and the motivation for the shooting.
A significant CCTV canvas has been undertaken today however investigators would also like to speak to anyone who has footage and is yet to speak to police or who was driving through the area between midnight and 4.30am who may have dashcam footage.
