Probe Underway Into Sunshine Coast Armed Robbery Attempt

Police are investigating following an attempted armed robbery in Pelican Waters yesterday, June 11.

At approximately 6.30am, a Jaguar was travelling north along Bledisloe Boulevard when the driver, a 59-year-old Pelican Waters woman, was approached by a male, unknown to her, armed with what appeared to be a firearm.

She was not physically injured.

The male was unable to start the car and left the scene in a stolen Audi SQ5.

A gel-blaster was located inside the vehicle.

The Audi was stolen from property along Gordons Crossing in Joyner on Monday, June 10.
