Murdoch Children's Research Institute's (MCRI) Professor Enzo Porrello has been elected as a Fellow of the International Society for Heart Research (FISHR).
The recognition highlights his significant contributions to the field of cardiac research and his commitment to advancing heart regeneration science.
The ISHR Credentials Committee recommended Professor Porrello for Fellowship status. As a Fellow, Professor Porrello will be entitled to add "FISHR" to his qualifications.

Professor Porrello said, "I am extremely honoured to be elected as a Fellow of the International Society for Heart Research. I am grateful for the recognition from my international colleagues as well as the support of my lab members, collaborators and mentors over the years."
The ISHR will formally welcome Professor Porrello and other new Fellows at the upcoming World Congress in Nara, Japan, from May 11-14.
