Lithgow City Council is pleased to announce that the new replacement two-lane concrete bridge, traversing Crown Creek on Glen Davis Road, is now open to traffic.
Glen Davis Road will now be open to heavy vehicles until 10th October 2022, when the road will once again be closed to vehicles above 4.5t to allow for the replacement of the Airly Creek bridge. The replacement of Airly Creek bridge is expected to be completed by 1st December 2022.
Lithgow Council was able to achieve this project using funding received from the NSW Government's Fixing Country Bridges Program. Lithgow Council thanked the government for the opportunities afforded by this program. The Council looks forward to delivering the remaining bridges to the community.
