Property Council Issues Statement on Sandra Brewer

As per the Property Council's policies Mrs Brewer, who has been contracting on non-member-facing work during the preselection process, will now formally resign from her role with the organisation.

"Sandra is a formidable, strategic leader who works tirelessly for the causes she believes in," Mr Zorbas said.

"The Property Council's loss is tempered by Sandra's great capacity to make a meaningful contribution to the prosperity of Western Australia on a broader stage," he said.

WA Division President, Richard Kilbane of Hawaiian Group, thanked Mrs Brewer for her passionate service and many successes on behalf of members.

"Under Sandra's leadership, our WA Division has become a powerful voice on the issues that matter to West Australians including better housing, smarter land use and economic development," Mr Kilbane said.

"We thank Sandra for her many public policy achievements, supporting the city-building and job-creating work of our members, we are grateful for her friendship and leadership, and we wish her the brightest of futures," he said.

Mr Zorbas said highly regarded Deputy Executive Director Emily Young will continue to act as Interim Executive Director and the Property Council will immediately commence a recruitment process for the permanent role.
