Property crime appeal, Parkhurst, Park Avenue

Queensland Police are appealing for public assistance as they investigate two property related offences in Parkhurst and Park Avenue overnight.

Shortly after midnight (February 22), eight people attended a service station along Yaamba Road in Parkhurst where they smashed through the front windows.

The group stole a quantity of cigarettes before leaving the scene in a convoy of vehicles.

A short time later, three people attended a business along Main Street in Park Avenue where they smashed through the front window.

They were unsuccessful in accessing a cigarette cabinet and left the scene.

Initial investigations indicate the two incidents are linked. No one was injured in either incident.

Police have released CCTV vision (from the Yaamba Road business) of a group of people who may be able to assist with investigations.

Initial investigations indicate the group are travelling in three vehicles; a white 2022 Toyota Landcruiser (Queensland registration DOM 970), a white 2017 Mitsubishi ASX (Queensland registration 043DE3), and a blue 2021 Hyundai Kona (Queensland registration 137CV9).

Any witnesses or anyone with information or dashcam/CCTV vision is urged to contact police.
