A 28-year-old man has been charged with 28 offences, following extensive investigations into a string of alleged offences including three armed robberies across Brisbane southside and Bayside areas in June.
At approximately 4.50am on June 21 at a Hawthorn Road property in Bulimba, it will be alleged the man threatened the male occupant with a hammer before stealing a Mercedes Benz station wagon.
The following day at approximately 2.30pm at Dasyure Place in Wynnum West, it will be alleged the man approached and threatened a woman who was seated in a Nissan Qashqai before stealing her vehicle.
The Mercedes Benz stolen from Bulimba was also located abandoned at this time, also at Dasyure Place.
The stolen Nissan Qashqai was subsequently located abandoned at Woolloongabba on June 22.
At approximately 7:00pm on June 27 at Creek Road, Carindale, it will be alleged the man threatened a male driver with a metal bat before stealing a Mercedes Benz sedan.
Police established Operation Uniform Salford to investigate these incidents and other alleged linked offences.
Investigations led officers from Capalaba Tactical Crime Squad to issue a search warrant at a residence in Tingalpa on Saturday, July 16.
A 28-year-old man was located at the premises and taken into custody.
A thorough search of the property located a significant amount of allegedly stolen property.
The Mercedes Benz, allegedly stolen from Carindale on 27 June, bearing false registration was also located at the property.
A 28-year-old Tingalpa man has been charged with 28 offences, including three counts of armed robbery, two counts of burglary, five counts of stealing and four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is expected to appear before Wynnum Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 21.
Investigations remain ongoing.
