Property Crime Arrestsin Brisbane And Gold Coast

Police have charged six men with more than 201 offences following a series of alleged property offences committed across southeast Queensland over the past four months.

It will be alleged the group worked together targeting luxury vehicles and properties across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Detectives from the Centenary Crime Team, Bayside Property Team and Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch executed search warrants at addresses in Logan Central, Slacks Creek, and Woodridge where a significant quantity of stolen property and vehicles were located and have since been returned to victims.

As a result, an 18-year-old man was arrested during the Woodridge search warrant on May 28 and charged with 30 property offences. He has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear before the Richlands Magistrates Court on July 24.

A 17-year-old male was arrested during the Slacks Creek search warrant on May 27 and charged with 36 offences. He is expected to appear before the Beenleigh Childrens Court on June 17.

A 16-year-old male was arrested during the Logan Central search warrant on May 23 and charged with 45 offences. He has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear before Brisbane Childrens Court on June 24.

And a 21-year-old man was arrested during the Woodridge search warrant on April 26 and charged with 16 offences. He has been remanded in custody and is expected to appear before Richlands Magistrates Court on July 1.

Meanwhile, on May 13, police were called to a break and enter at an address in Parkwood, where they located two men on the premises allegedly in possession of a knife and stolen items.

The pair allegedly tried to resist arrest, but officers managed to bring them into custody.

A 19-year-old Woodridge man has been charged with 26 offences, including seven counts each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, eight counts each of enter dwelling and commit, two counts each of serious assault of person over 60, one count each of obstruct a police officer, possession of a knife in public place, and dangerous operation of vehicle.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before the Southport Magistrates court on July 2.

A 19-year-old Woodridge man has been charged with two counts each of serious assault of person over 60, two counts each of enter dwelling and commit, one count each of assault police officer, obstruct a police officer, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and possession of a knife in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before the Southport Magistrates court on June 26.
