Property Crime Charges At Rockhampton

Police have charged seven people with 27 offences following alleged unlawful use of motor vehicle offences in Rockhampton this week.

Police will allege the group had stolen a silver Great Wall Cannon from a Berserker address between February 8 and 10.

It will be further alleged several people from the group were sighted driving dangerously on February 12.

On the morning of February 13, police intercepted the stolen silver Great Wall at the intersection of Charles and Musgrave Streets in Berserker where one man and three women were taken into custody.

Further, another three other men were arrested on February 12, 13 and 14 in connection with the stolen vehicle.

A 25-year-old Blackwater man has been charged with two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing, and one count each of driving unlicensed, obstructing police, and failure to appear.

An 18-year-old Koongal woman has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and obstructing police.

A 21-year-old Koongal woman has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

An 18-year-old Woorabinda woman has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and obstructing police officer.

All four were refused bail and appeared before Rockhampton Magistrates Court yesterday, on February 13.

The 25-year-old Rockhampton City man arrested on February 12 has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and two counts of possessing dangerous drugs. He is due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court today, on February 27.

The 25-year-old Blackwater man arrested on February 13 has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count each of obstruct police, possessing dangerous drugs, and fail to take reasonable care and precautions in respect of syringe or needle. He is due to appear Rockhampton Magistrates Court on February 28.

The 23-year-old Norman Gardens man arrested on today, February 14 has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, and enter premises and commit. He is due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court today, February 14.

Investigations are ongoing.
