Property Crime Offences At Redcliffe

Police have charged two people with several property offences following investigations into an armed robbery in Redcliffe yesterday, June 4.

Initial investigations indicate around 2.30am, two teenage boys were walking along Sydney Street when they were allegedly approached by three males not known to them.

It will be alleged one of the males threatened the boys with a knife, stealing a phone and other personal items.

Both 15-year-old boys were physically unharmed.

The group then fled in an allegedly stolen grey Ford Focus, which was stolen from a Carew Street, Nundah residence on April 30.

It is further alleged the two offenders are also linked to several break and enter incidents in Newport between 2am and 3am Tuesday, June 4.

The two offenders are also alleged to have stolen property and items, including a Range Rover Evoque, from a Sorbello Street, Bridgeman Downs residence on the morning of Monday, June 3.

Following investigations and with assistance from PolAir and the Dog Squad Unit, police located and charged two males around 4pm yesterday in Burpengary.

An 18-year-old Chermside man has been charged with two counts each of armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence.

He has been refused police bail and is due to appear before Caboolture Magistrates Court today, June 5.

A 17-year-old Margate boy has also been charged with two counts each of armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

He has been refused police bail and is due to appear before Caboolture Childrens Court today, June 5.

Investigations are continuing.
